I Won!!!!!

I am so excited! I won! I won!!!! I love IG and FB because of all the teacher bloggers that I am meeting. Most of them have a give away of some kind everyday. So I always enter and never imagine that I will win. Well guess what?????? I WON!!!! Mrs. Russell's Room was giving away her Citzenship Unit! So I of course I enter. Now I'm thinking I'm not gonna win because I don't have that kind of luck (in my mind). I did!!!! I can't wait to use this with my class. It will be so helpful when I teach the 7 habits or healthy kids too. I hope that you would go and check this unit out. I am beyond excited and very thankful for this unit. Thanks Mrs. Russell's room you have made my night!!!!!!!

Five for Friday

This is my third week in a row to participate in the Five for Friday. This has been a whirlwind of a week. So let the linky party begin.

I am so happy. This past weekend we got a Meijer. I am lovin it. This store is so huge. I am finding some awesome deals. I am not for sure about how much I will save on groceries but I hope when it is time to buy school supplies, I will really hit pay dirt.

First of all my sweet boy is 3 1/2 years old. This week he did his first VBS at the new church we started attending a year ago. (Crossland Community Church) We love this church. Pastor Gregg Farrell brings it. He makes me think about how I deal with life all week long. Anyway, my boy got to sing and share what he learned for the 3 days. I want to point out how tall he is in this picture.
I promise he is only 3. LOL

Yesterday my kiddos went swimming it was so funny to watch them try and be so grown. Now my daughter was not as much as her brother but she was liking the pool. What got me the most was watching my sweet boy swimming in the pool and not even caring if I was there. He has gotten so brave.

Since we did go swimming. I just had to share this one of my daughter. I was trying to get her to smile and look at me. So when I moved she did the same thing. Can you tell what I was doing when I took this picture? LOL!

Last but not least, I have to give a shout out to this lovely lady. She has been a rock in my life this past year. She has helped me to be a better mom as well as a better person. She is always stretching my thinking. I am very proud to call her my friend.

Monday Meet Me

WHAAAATTT???????? I know 2 days in a row. What can I say? I have decided to link up with The Teaching Tribune for Summer Bloggin Week 2.

Today is Monday Meet Me.

I teach at a Title I school in Kentucky. At my school, we are doing Project Child. This is where 3 teachers are placed in a cluster and each teacher teaches a subject area. I teach K, 1, & 2nd grade Writing. I did teach Reading for our cluster but my principal didn't like my test score (although I had the highest). ANYWAY, I am now teaching writing this year for the 3rd year. I have been really finding the love of writing. I still get to do all the fun things I loved about teaching reading but now I just do it and teach writing.

I have way too many TPT products in my head. I recently bought Schroeder Shenanigans in 2nd blogging pack. It has been a lifesaver. Thanks to Lucky Little Learners for tipping me off to it.  So, I bought it and it has really helped me to get my ideas down and now I am ready to work on my new products. I am praying for God's favor so that I can make enough money that will help my family with some extra money for our debt.

I watch a lot of Bravo reality tv. I love it. Anything on BRAVO is my weakness. My husband laughs at me because of it but I don't care. I love it! Wait I already said that!

I listen to Pandora and Spotify all the time. They each give me something different. I listen when I mow the grass to laying out it in the sun. Music is the 2nd part of my life so I have to have it at all time.

I read the most during the summer time. I just finished the Divergent series. I am currently reading a JD Robb book called Naked by Death. I have also started the book One for the Money. My friend Melissa has fallen in love with the series about Stephanie Plum and think I will love them too. I do have some "teacher books" that I will be trying to read this summer break as well. I usually don't start those until July.

I do yard work. I know yard work. Well, my hubby and I got the idea to change our landscaping so we have been ripping out plants in the front and building a fire pit in the back. Our house is no longer looking like "THAT" house. We are very excited how it is turning out. As soon as we are finished I will take a picture.

Well I hope this helps you to get to know me a little bit better. I have really enjoyed sharing about myself.

Five for Friday and a Sunday Smorgasbord

I know, I know! Seriously, 2 linkies today. Well, it has been really busy. I was in a training Friday and when I got home it was completely mom mode. You may know what I'm talking about. Well today I decided that I would do both at the same time. Especially since both have the same message.

So let the party begin.

A year ago I had a gastric sleeve surgery. Since then I have lost 134 lbs. My new love is jazzercise. I have discovered the love of cardio, Pilate, yoga, and strength training all in one. If you have never taken a class, run don't walk and find a class. It is so much fun.

This weekend I took by family to my hometown of Jamestown, KY. The Wolf Creek Dam was having the 28th annual Fishing Derby. So my kids got the chance to go fishing. It was so much fun. My son did not catch a fish and was very upset about it but my daughter "caught" a trout. Actually the nice man running her tank caught it and he handed it to her to pull out of the water. We did not take it home because I wasn't traveling an hour and a half with a fish. LOL!

She is so funny with her hand on her hips. LOL!

The next thing that I have loved was getting to spend time with my brother and his family. I love them so much and I dont get to see them very often. These people always make me smile.

My brother David and me

My nephew Zachariah and me
My nephew Elijah and me

I just love this because while my 3 1/2 year old son was talking my head off this is what was happening on the passenger side of the car. They slept.

The final thing that has been making me happy has been the awesome things coming from this blog. Her math interactive notebooks are amazing. AMAZING!!!!  I don't even teach math at my school because I am the writing teacher for my cluster but I just had to get the 2 bundles she has. If you haven't been over there well start running.
